The German-produced spiral bike rack is found in a number of European countries, including Belgium, Denmark, Greece, and Finland. The bike rack is as efficiently designed as it is colourful, with a capacity of 20 bikes in a small space and the ability to accommodate both ultra-slim tires and thicker mountain bike tires. The special continuous spiral design was a Nordic design crafted so it would be nearly impossible for thieves to cut locks with a pipe cutter. The Superkilen advisory board members admit that they are not completely certain whether the sample, located somewhere in Finland, is the rainbow-coloured version. In this instance, however, there was not really any choice: the rainbow was inarguably too stunning to justify instead choosing a simple metal version.
