Description
The spiked hexagonal pavilion is allegedly Russian, but its exact origin is still unclear. Perhaps it is part of a picnic area at a vantage point somewhere, perhaps it is yet another sample of the countless bus shelters dating back to Soviet times. What we do know is that the hexagon recurs in pavilions all over the world. It appears in the pattern of the bees’ honeycomb, in the lines of a tortoise shell, and as a big rotating cloud of gas above the planet Saturn’s northern pole. In Superkilen, the hexagonal pavilion has been redefined, becoming a shelter for the rain or the sun, where to have a picnic or simply rest while overlooking at the many objects in the green park.
